Any glimpse into the life of an animal quickens our own and makes it so much the larger and better in every way. John Muir
As all of
the residents of Sarajevo know, there are countless stray dogs and cats
living in Vogosca, and as the mating season starts they reproduce
rapidly and unhealthily, which leads to an increasing number of animals
on the streets. So, the QSIS Student council collaborated with
AV-Lijaneri and the Veterinary Clinic Stop last Friday to sterilize one
of the Vogosca dogs, while donating 90 kilograms of dog and cat food to
the shelter. Our trip to the shelter was also filmed by local “Hemma TV”
and was televised on Wednesday, April 6th. It was a moving
and eye-opening experience for all of us, and we hope to continue
visiting the shelter, and urge everyone to do so.
A special thanks goes to Mrs. Tara Bray for helping the Student Council with everything.
Have a great weekend!
