The National Honor Society was established in 1921 to recognize
outstanding high school students. NHS is not simply an organization that
recognizes academic excellence; it also recognizes students for
excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and
Character. The QSIS chapter of the National Honor Society was
established in 2007. To qualify for the QSIS Chapter of the National
Honor Society, a student must have a minimum 3.75 g.p.a. and exhibit
outstanding leadership, scholarship, service and character. Faculty
nominate students each spring for membership.
